Friendship and Laundry Detergent

"Being friendless taught me how to be a friend. Funny how that works." ~Colleen Wainwright
As we travel through life we are bound to pick up some dirt along the way. It's just part of the journey. Sometimes we fall into all sorts of messiness and get covered in greasy spots, grassy stains, and caked on grime. What to do? Well, you wash. Simple as that. It seems to me that good friends and good laundry detergent are the best at helping clean yourself up.
Luckily you get both with ECOEVERYDAY natural laundry soap. First off Betsy is an all around awesome person, a type of friend who sees the shiny clean person within and wants to make you shine. Second, she makes the most awesome eco friendly laundry detergent ever so you are so fresh and so clean, clean! Plus you do can do it all sustainable and without harmful chemicals. Show your love to your friends and the planet! Check out Betsy's etsy eco store. (say that 3 times)

Meta Salad Dressing

So every once and a great while the vibrations of the universe come together and an ineffable harmonic attraction occurs. When it does, it makes the heart soar, sensibility waiver, and the soul believe. It's happening, now, even as your mind groans and tells you to reach for the store brand, you can't. You are drawn into the mystery, the joy, the wonder.....
I had the pleasure of finding Newman's Own Light Lime vinagrette salad dressing recently and I am completely hooked. I am usually not one who allows myself to get totally swept off my feet, and go head over heels for a salad dressing, but there is something mysterious and magical about this one. From the first time I laid my eyes on it I knew there was something deep there..and worth opening up to, even though I resist because it leaves one vulnerable to disappointment. But I will never regret jumping through the open window of opportunity and trying this dressing.
I am also not one who makes a practice of promoting products, but this is special, and I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge it. I am amazed by it. It is wonderful. Makes me smile. The crisp and tangy lime flavor excites the palette and fills me with hope and longing for more dinners to experience. The possibilities! I want to have it on taco salad, and use it as a marinade, take it on a picnic and savor the flavor over long hours of meaningful silence.
If you have never heard about Newmans Own line of product you really should. The company is designed around giving and not just there to make a profit. They donate all their profits to charity. A model I hope more businesses adopt. I hope you try it. It's worth it. You may find that special dressing and never want to let go.

Sneak Peak!

Okay, I promised you a sneak peak of some upcoming projects. The one I am most excited about is for the Green Bean Coffehouse in Greensboro. My very best friend Katie, who owns the Green Bean, is on a mission to 'Green the bean' by adopting all sorts of environmental and community minded practices. One of which is to start using rewined recycled glassware. Here is a sneak peak of the custom etched design.

Fear

My brother Andy is a Chiropractor in Decatur Georgia at a wellness center he founded called Well Beings, he just sent me his latest newsletter which had this simple but great observation in it.

There is a huge difference between fear and caution.

Caution moves forward with care, fear stands still,

paralyzed. Avoid paralysis at all cost. It is not good

for the body or the soul -- and it gets you nowhere.

I hope you move through your day today with freedom, wellness and joy...freee from paralyzing fear. As Mark Twain said:

"I have been through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened"

Zeke starts blogging; friend "unimpressed"

So I was at my friend Adam and Justi's trying to think up ways to promote the upcoming Glenwood Multiculturtal Festival (where last year we met the most amazing chinese calligraphy artist) when on the spur of the moment I decided to start a blog to promote my etsy store. Sounded fun, easy, like a good thing to try, so here it is. Adam, needless to say, is unimpressed. I hope to keep it interesting with some Rewined Recycled Glassware specials, links to cool indie-eco stores, and maybe a bit of wisdom now and again. What's the worst that can happen?
Oh yeah, The Glenwood Multicultural Festival is Saturday May 16th 11Am-5Pm on the corner of Grove and Glenwood Street in Greensboro NC! Be there!!
